getback™ technology spinal health you can see

getback™ rehabilitation devices are designed to precisely control loading and guide every movement during your tailored back treatment. The devices provide continual feedback to ensure you’re exercising within the prescribed safe range, and record your strength and flexibility for review.

A measurable pathway to spinal health

getback™ offers a measurable pathway to spinal health by restoring the strength and flexibility of the deep muscles that stabilise and support the spine.

Under the supervision of our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, getback rehabilitation technology controls your individual treatment plan and measures and records your strength and movement data during each treatment.

Each getback device is fitted with a screen which guides your exercise.

The screen provides real-time visual feedback of your movements to make sure you’re always working within your predetermined safe range.

Data on your strength, range of motion and any pain is captured for continual review with our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.

The getback devices are included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods [ARTG], Certificate #244352 as Medical Devices Class 1.

How do the getback devices work?

getback™ devices were developed by Biomechanists and Exercise Scientists to enable targeted, safe and progressive exercise for the deep spinal muscles that have been associated with back or neck pain.

When pain inhibits a muscle function for a period of time, the size and structure of the muscle changes. Even when pain subsides, you are left with muscle weakness which can cause your pain to re-occur, or other injuries to develop.

The getback devices precisely target any weakened or injured deep spinal muscles to rebuild their strength and co-ordination with the superficial back muscles.

The devices are easy to use. Patients log on with a personalised card which retrieves their programme from the cloud, and adjusts seats and other support elements.

How long will it take to feel results?

After your Initial Consultation, a customised plan of between 12 and 24 treatments is designed for you. getback™ recommends two treatments of approximately 30 minutes per week.

Most patients feel an improvement in their strength and range of movement within four weeks. Patients are able to track their improvement in regular reviews of their data with our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.

Regular re-assessments allow your treatment plan to be refined based on your recorded strength and mobility data.

Medicare and most private health insurers allow rebates for your getback treatment with a Physiotherapist or Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

the getback difference

Innovation and benchmarking.

getback physiotherapy undergoes a continuous cycle of improvement and benchmarking. We instantly share assessments and results between getback clinics via a centralised database. All of the getback devices are computerised and every movement during your treatment is measured for strength and range of motion. All the data is recorded so our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists can measure your improvement and adjust treatment as required.

When you step inside a getback clinic you enter a caring practice environment with trained therapists, designed to create the best treatment plan for your unique condition. We bring together the latest evidence-based physiotherapy for back pain in a cost-effective treatment plan with flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.

In consultation with our patients, we design individual treatment plans based on data from your Initial Consultation. During treatment you will get immediate, on-screen feedback showing how muscle strength and flexibility is improving. It’s highly motivating for patients to get this level of feedback and quantifiable results.
